A/R:K.T.Hammond Wins Adansi Asokwa Primary for Seventh Time

Delegates of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Adansi Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region have retained the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), K.T. Hammond, as their representative ahead of the 2024 general election.
The Adansi Asokwa MP, who doubles as the Minister of Trade and Industry, polled 311 votes, beating his fiercest contestant, Sammy Bonfoh Dankwa, who had 125 votes.

The third and fourth candidates, Kwabena Asamoah Nkansah, Deputy MASLOC CEO, and Dr. Enock Acheampong, garnered 26 and 25 votes respectively.
The results, as declared by the Electoral Commission (EC), is published below:
K.T. Hammond polled – 311 votes
Sammy Bonfoh Darkwa – 125 votes
Kwabena Asamoah Nkansah – 26 votes
Enock Acheampong – 25 votes
Total votes cast 487 out of a total 498 registered voters
