AEI urges continued vigilance as Ghana enters into last phase of its electorate process for 2024 polls

  1. The African Electoral Institute (AEI) commends political parties for their diligence during the printing process of electoral materials. However, AEI emphasizes the importance of sustained vigilance as the Electoral Commission (EC) begins distributing election materials today.


2. African Electoral Institute states that; “the Electoral Commission has the mandate to ensure a credible election,but not exclusively because it behoves on the political parties and all stakeholders to also contribute to achieving credible elections by being vigilante through each and every process”.

  1. One of such key areas stakeholders should monitor is the distribution of election materials by ensuring the timely and secure delivery to Police Stations for safety and distribution to the polling stations on the eve of elections.

  2. African Electoral Institute stresses that “election is a process,” and every step of the EC’s process is crucial to observe until the final election results declaration.

  3. By maintaining vigilance, political parties can contribute to a free, fair, and credible electoral process.
