Some concerned youth within the Agona Asaamang community of the Ashanti region have condemned some news circulating on the various media platforms, describing it as fake.
According to the concerned youth and some chiefs who spoke to the media, there is no violence or tension within the community as had been alleged by some ‘few selfish individuals” who just made such allegations in a press conference.
The group’s statement follow a recent news that made some headlines that the Asaamang community had been characterized with violence and a lot of tension following the dethronement of the old queenmother, Nana Kyeiwaa Boadiwaa II.
The group which fingered one abusuapanin Nana Korankye Ababio for causing all the confusions said, the abusuapanin used illegal means to claim the dethronement of their legitimate queenmother and brought another person in place of her.
According to them, Nana Korankye’s unfortunate action had since created tensions and violence amongst different factions within the community, where they called for his head from the necessary authorities.
But the concerned youth and members of the royal family reacting to the earlier reportage said there was no iota of truth in the said news.
They said the community was very peaceful and, neither had any abusuapanin used any illegal means dethroned a queenmother nor brought in any new queenmother.
They further revealed that the old queenmother Nana Kyeiwaa Boadiwaa II was being dethroned by the paramount queenmother of the Nsuta traditional area, Nana Siabura Aduwaa II for a gross misconduct.
According to the members of the Asaamang community, the community had since been very peaceful and it was however some few selfish people who had been influenced by the embittered dethroned queenmother to levelled unnecessary allegation to create tension.
Meanwhile, the paramount queenmother of the Nsuta traditional area Nana Siabura Aduwaa II speaking to this reporter said she personally dethroned the old queenmother of Asaamang after several misconducts and insults to the traditional authorities.
