The immediate-past New Patriotic Party (NPP) Financial Secretary and also a leading contender for the Ahafo Ano South West NPP parliamentary primaries, Mr. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, has showcased his unprecedented achievements that touch lives ahead of the party’s primaries slated for Saturday, 27th January 2024.
Okumkom, as he is affectionately called, is enjoying massive support from majority of NPP delegates, including various stakeholders.
Speaking to a section of the media, Okumkom pointed out that he had consistently contributed his quota to the well-being of the people in the area and not only to NPP members.
“I’m very confident that the delegates in the Ahafo Ano South Constituency will vote for me massively, come 27th January 2024, as the next NPP parliamentary candidate to retain the seat,” he said.
He added, “I hope my support to all manner of people, developmental projects … support to brilliant, needy students, road construction in “no-go areas” or deplorable roads, among other interventions over the years, will pay off to ensure massive victory for all of us.”
According to him, when given the nod, he would lobby for improvement in education, healthcare, road infrastructure and agriculture.
He lamented that the district lacks a major hospital, and he intends to lobby for improvement in healthcare in the district.
Concerning his contribution to the party, he mentioned that the
Mpaseaso Nyamekye community, which is a well-known NDC-dominated area, is gradually falling to NPP after he had constructed the bad road network in the area.
He said the people, including those in other communities, had decided to support the ruling party due to his personal contribution to complement the developmental agenda of the government.
He added that the Wioso community drainage challenge had been fixed; he has also built a new office complex for NPP at
Mankraso.
On education, he said he had developed a programme to support brilliant, needy students.
This year alone, he has sponsored over 90 brilliant, needy students in various tertiary institutions.
Also, he has supplied much furniture to schools in the Kunsu community, his home town, including the construction of two boreholes and many other infrastructural projects.
A cross-section of delegates, who spoke to the media, heaped praises on Mr. Elvis Dapaah. To them, he is the Messiah for the Ahafo Ano South Constituency, for which reason they urged their colleague delegates to endorse him overwhelmingly, come 27th January 2024, to lead the party to victory.
According to them, Okumkom h
as proven beyond doubt that he has the development of the people of the constituency at heart and needs to be given the mandate to represent them in Parliament in 2025.
They, therefore, appealed to the delegates to vote massively for him.
A list of projects undertaken by the incoming Ahafo Ano South West NPP parliamentary candidate include: Kunsu water project, Mpasaaso Nyamebekyere road construction, clearing of Beposo huge refuse and financial support for the ongoing ultra-modern office complex for the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency of NPP.

He also donated some amount of money to the first, second and third winners as a sign of motivation.
As part of Elvis Dapaah’s support to provide quality education, 200 JHS graduates had been supported to buy items on their prospectus for their Senior High School education
under the “SUPPORT THEM TO SCHOOL AGENDA” initiative.
This initiative by the Elvis Dapaah Foundation has lessened the burden of many parents and guardians with low financial status in the Ahafo Ano South Constituency.
