Alan Kyerematen’s Tangible Commitments Outshine Bawumia’s Rhetoric in NPP Presidential Race-Richard Nyamah
Ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries, the two frontrunners in the race in Hon. Alan Kyerematen and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, have been subjected to multiple comparisons.
As the contest heats up, delegates have began examining the candidates’ promises and feasibility in the eventual triumph for the said candidates.
One of such comparisons saw Richard Nyamah highlighting the concrete deliverables of Hon Alan Kyerematen as against the undefined rhetorics from Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mr. Nyamah, who is the deputy Communication Director of Alan for President (A4P) Campaign, highlighted a key distinction between Kyerematen and Bawumia. According to Nyamah, Kyerematen stands out by making concrete commitments, with a roadmap to achieving them, to pay party executives at all levels and ensure fair representation from the national level down to the polling station.
In the realm of political campaigns, where empty rhetorics often overshadow tangible outcomes, Kyerematen’s emphasis on deliverables distinguishes him from his competitors according to Mr Nyamah. By pledging to financially support party executives and promoting fair representation, Kyerematen showcases his dedication to empowering grassroots party workers and fostering inclusivity within the NPP.
On the other hand, Vice President Bawumia’s campaign has been marked by rhetorical flair but lack a clear-cut message and how to meet the promises, the deputy Communication Director said .
While rhetoric can be inspiring, voters now demand more than mere words; they seek concrete solutions to the challenges facing the party and the nation. In this regard, Kyerematen’s commitment to delivering practical solutions resonates strongly with the electorate.
Kyerematen’s focus on tangible deliverables sets him apart in an era where accountability and results are increasingly demanded. His extensive experience in the private sector and various roles in government at a very high level, marks him out as the candidate with the necessary expertise to lead the NPP effectively. By presenting concrete solutions to promises, Kyerematen offers a refreshing alternative to the vague rhetoric that often pervades political campaigns.
Hon. Alan Kyerematen held various party portfolios in the past including coordinator for the Inter Ministerial Committee under Kufuor’s administration alongside a plethora of appointments. He was also alternate-chair of the cabinet sub – committee on finance in the current government.
It is still early in the race, but the choices made by party delegates and the general electorate will shape the future of the NPP. As voters assess their options, it is vital to scrutinize the candidates’ commitments and evaluate the likelihood of those promises being fulfilled.
Richard Nyamah’s observation, highlighting Kyerematen’s emphasis on paying party executives and ensuring fair representation, underscores his commitment to transparency and inclusivity within the political landscape.
The New Patriotic Party heads to the poll on November 4 to decide the next leader of the party in the post Akuffo Addo era.
