All roads lead to the national headquarters of Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi, behind the Tech Police Station, for the Start Well Conference 2026 with Pastor Mensa Otabil.
This year’s annual conference, dubbed “Start Well Conference 2026” with Pastor Mensa Otabil, the general overseer of ICGC, is expected to start on Thursday, 22nd – Friday, 23rd January, 2026.


Addressing journalists on Tuesday, 20th January, 2026, at one of the conference halls of the church, Pastor Joshua Obeng, the resident pastor, explained that. the Start Well Conference will commences at 6 pm on Thursday and Friday with a leadership summit at 8am on Saturday ,24th January,2026

.According to him, the conference and leadership summit have been designed to allow God through his servant Dr Mensa Otabil to direct them as well as residents of Ashanti region, especially those in the regional capital, Kumasi well so as to help them focus their minds their New Year resolutions. Pastor Joshua Obeng said Ashanti region plays major or crucial role to the growth of the country even to the extent of deciding who to become the President of the republic of Ghana.

To this end, CCC every year organizes a conference dubbed “Start well with Pastor Mensa Otabil to help seek spiritual empowerment and direction for the beginning of the year not only for the CCC members but residents in the region so as to help them in their businesses.

He said Dr.Mensa Otabil has been graced with a lot of wisdom and expertise in leadership and was one of the best to be chosen for the conference .He, therefore, urged all members of the church and residents in the Ashanti region, especially, to attend the conference.
According to him, residents in the Ashanti region can’t afford to miss the conference; they should therefore try as much as possible to patronise the Start Well Conference 2026.
The Resident revealed that, Joe Mettle ,a renowned gospel artist will also be ministering during the conference On why they added leadership summit to the conference, the CCC Resident Pastor said it was part of their efforts in training leaders in the country to ensuring accountability:Pastor Joshua Obeng admitted that, the church in general has not done with the issue of holding politicians and other sectors leaders accountable. That, the leadership summit aimed at setting leaders apart in their leadership roles in 2026 and beyond. Pastor Joshua Obeng expressed concerned that Ghana has very strong leadership crisis.
This crisis, he explained, is not only from the politicians but from the grassroots. is the major or big problem the country has and the church is determined to help address the challenge. In a response to a questioner on January 31st New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer contest, Pastor Joshua Obeng urged the rank and file of the party ,especially the Elections Committee to ensure free and fair polls.He said the elections must be free and fair .
They (NPP) must be careful not to use bribery and corruption in the process.“As a pastor, I’m advising them to conduct themselves in a way that pleases the Lord. I’m also advising the party delegates not to allow any candidate to use money to buy their conscience .
They(delegates) should elect a candidate, who is capable of helping the nation building should he wins the general election.We also expect them to use the primary to set a good example for others and the future generation.
