PRESS CONFERENCE BY ASHANTI DEMOCRATIC YOUTH FOR JUSTICE

Ablakwa’s anti-Akan and hate politics

Ladies and gentlemen of the Press, we consider it important to address and report to you today on issues that define the future of elective government and legitimate leadership in our country.

Political leadership and active citizenship matter because they are ways through which we all work together to build a country that works for all who live in it. Our country is bigger than any individual, and its standing in the world affects the fate of all who come from or live in it. As such, it is the duty of leadership to advance the well-being of all our people and of the country.

For this purpose, we are called upon as a people to uphold and defend the ground rules of elective governance in our country.

The fourth Republican constitution prescribes the requirements for elective governance, and as such, the ASHANTI DEMOCRATIC YOUTH FOR JUSTICE are taken aback by the public spectacle of the dishonourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and the contextual matters related to his anti- Akan politics.

George Opoku Amponsah addressing the media

Ladies and gentlemen of the Press, Okudzeto Ablakwa in his usual ethnocentric style of politicking is at it once again.

In fact, Okudzeto Ablakwa has been at it with his bigotry and Anti-Akan hate politics for a while now.

In Julius Caesar, Shakespeare argues that it’s hardly possible for moral principle and political advancement to coexist; one will inevitably undermine the other.

This Shakespearian reasoning works on Okudzeto Ablakwa even more effectively than the characters in Julius Caesar.

That Okudzeto-Ablakwa is a tribalist and Akan hating political blackmailer is not in doubt. He has consistently singled out people from Akan extraction for his dubious attacks.

Okudzeto Ablakwa engaged in a hate campaign against the Minister for Justice and Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame. He lied that Dame received emolument in his capacity as Secretary to the National Cathedral.

Okudzeto Ablakwa again told lies about the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, and also lied about the recent passport fee increments.

Ladies and gentlemen of the media, Okudzeto Ablakwa again took his theatrical antics to the former Vice Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Defence and Interior, Hon Collins Owusu Amankwa.

He attacked the former Methodist Bishop, Rev Asante-Antwi. He also attacked the Executive Secretary to the president, Asante Bediatu. He has been consistent with his attacks on President Akufo-Addo. He did same to Kusi Boafo and President Kuffuor.

Ladies and gentlemen of the media, even in the NDC that he belongs to, Ablakwa mostly singles out people from Ashanti and Akan extraction for his dubious attacks.

Dr Tony Aidoo was on record to have condemn Ablakwa’s mercenary politicking.

Now, the minister of Agriculture, Dr Bryan Acheampong has become the latest victim to Ablakwa’s hate politics.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Press, Okudzeto Ablakwa’s completely dishonest attacks against the aforementioned people
have spurred other members of the public to make similar statements about them, either out of ignorance or plain mischief.

So, the question is why is Ablakwa’s bigotry so exclusive to only Akans?

Is he so tribalist to the extent that he can’t see the good in people who are not his tribesmen?

Okudzeto-Ablakwa is the person whom while claiming to be entitled to the title Honourable Deputy Minister at age 28 years without having done any public service in his life defended the judgement debt paid to Alfred Woyome and Waterville Holding, a foreign subsidiary operating in Ghana.

Ladies and gentlemen of the media,
Okudzeto Ablakwa has the penchant for deliberately twisting facts to satisfy his warped imagination like a person high on illegal substance.

He blames successful indigenous business people, especially Akans for daring to make a difference while shamelessly lending support to foreign mafia clubs when they are flecing us and acting criminally and unconstitutionally.

As a matter of fact, the former Attorney General and Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu is on record to have condemn Ablakwa’s mercenary politicking when he attempted to corruptly induce him to approve the payment of a US$1.3million alleged judgment debt to Isofoton SA in 2011 – see “People Are fed Up With Ablakwa’s ‘Lies’”, Modern Ghana 13th July 2012.

The Isofoton case is a case in which the Supreme Court later gave judgment in Martin Amidu’s favour in Amidu (No. 2) v Attorney General, Isofoton SA & Forson (No. 1) [2013-2014] SCGLR 167.

Interestingly, Okudzeto Ablakwa in his usually disingenuous and dishonourable fashion is repeating in latest publice charade what he did with the Woyome and the Isofoton advocacy.

It has often been said that “The Devil has work for idle hands.” It was only a matter of time before the pathologically meddlesome, Okudzeto Ablakwa, got roundly and royally exposed for the veritable tribal and political scam-artist that he is.

This inveterate Akan- hating and bashing political zealot and vermin has been using every shambolic trick in the book to dastardly attempt to discredit every worthwhile national development project or program initiated by or is being laudably and progressively undertaken by the Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),

Okudzeto Ablakwa conveys the impression in his public advocacy as the seeker of the truth but we all know he is simply an anti-Akan hating political blackmailer.

Truth is Okudzeto-Ablakwa is a tribal and ethnic bigot who puts his Ewe tribe ahead of every other ethnic group. He schemed and lie about people who are not his tribesmen.

Ablakwa’s anti-Akan politics deliberate attrition is becoming rather worrying. He has no genuine feelings for this country, it’s people or anything that doesn’t project his very narrow myopic view.

Among the Akan majority populace of Ghana, there is a wise and common saying that “Nobody killed Antwi- Boasiako. Rather, it was Boasiako who lassoed himself to death.” In short, having poetically hoisted with his own petard, in Shakespearean terms, the suicide-prone Okudzeto Ablakwa would have the very people whose hard-earned image and reputation he has been fiercely attempting to thoroughly assassinate or drag through the mud cut him off from his own hangman’s noose.

Unfortunately for this wet-eared political rascal and irredeemable scam- artist, Ablakwa is one of the indelibly cursed “Babies with Sharp Teeth” that the late president Rawlings permanently condemned and consigned to hell and perdition.

Okudzeto Ablakwa shall not be saved. It is his own destiny come prematurely calling by virtue or the vice of his legion misdeeds. Yes, it is the veritable fruits of his own incarnadine wicked ways that will come back to haunt him. He is destined to remain restless and harried till forever.

So, yes, when a child is cursed by a father who brought him up from age three because of disrespect and deviant behaviour the child grows up to become the type of Okudzeto Ablakwa: with sharp teeth, and a scourge on all decent members of the whole Ghanaian society except those who feed his greedy political stomach.

Truth be told, no person with integrity, decency and elementary candour will support the path Ablakwa is threading on.
