As the President of the Ashanti Democrats, deeply committed to the progress and development of the Ashanti Region, I feel compelled to raise serious concerns about the Heal Komfo Anokye Project, a flagship initiative meant to improve healthcare and wellbeing in our community.

It has come to my attention that the project is mired in allegations of corruption, lack of transparency, and unjust enrichment by certain individuals. Of particular concern is the revelation that the project is reportedly in debt for over 13 million Ghana cedis, a figure that is both alarming and inexplicable given the nature of its funding.

Additionally, there are troubling reports regarding missing receipts and cash deposits from philanthropists, raising serious questions about accountability and proper financial management.

These issues threaten to undermine public trust and cast doubt on the integrity of a project meant to serve the very people it is intended to help.In light of these developments,

I am calling for a full, independent investigation into the Heal Komfo Anokye Project. Such an inquiry is necessary to ensure that:Funds are accounted for properly. Those responsible for mismanagement are held to account. The project can continue to benefit the Ashanti community in a transparent and responsible manner.

The Ashanti Region deserves projects that are well-managed, transparent, and focused on genuine development, not initiatives clouded by financial impropriety. We must act decisively to safeguard public resources and restore confidence in initiatives meant for the public good.As we await the investigation,

I urge all stakeholders, philanthropists, government authorities, and civil societies to support a transparent and thorough review of the project.Only through accountability and proper oversight can we ensure that projects like Heal Komfo Anokye truly serve the people and foster sustainable development in our beloved Ashanti Region.
