The Ashanti Regional Organiser for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Francis Adomako, has cautioned the National Democratic Congress (NDC), especially its 2024 flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, to desist from politics of lies ahead of the 2024 general election.
According to him, because NDC is desperately seeking political power, its leaders have resorted to all manner of campaign.
Speaking to TNTonline on Thursday,18th January 2024, the Ashanti regional NPP organiser, who is affectionately called Francois, cautioned Ghanaians, particularly first-time voters, to be watchful of Mahama and NDC’s dirty tricks in their attempt to deceive Ghanaians ahead of the 2024 polls.

He said Ghanaians could not afford to vote against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to continue the good works started by the Akufo-Addo administration. He added that it would be a disaster for Ghanaians to make a mistake to vote for NDC led by John Mahama, since they have nothing new to offer Ghanaians.
The Ashanti NPP organiser recalled that former President John Mahama once said, “Tell lies to the people so that they can vote for you to win elections. If it is white, say it is green in order to win political power.”
According to Francois,in the year 2008, they (NDC members) said they would introduce a one-time premium to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and when they won power, we were told it was a political talk.
He said under Mahama’s regime, he told the Ghanaian youth that he was not a magician to create jobs.
“Mahama promised to build 200 E-blocks but ended up building less than 30. He also cancelled nursing and teacher training allowances and did so many adverts against the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy,” he pointed out.
Francis Adomako lamented that teachers, who worked for three years were given a three-month salary.
On job creation, the NPP organiser said there were no jobs under Mahama’s administration for unemployed graduates leading to the formation of”Unemployed Graduates Association”. It was formed under his regime.
According to him, teachers and nurses, who had completed school, were left at home for so many years and it took the ruling NPP Government to employ them.
He added “to make matters worse, the Mills/Mahama Government decided to punish the people of the Ashanti Region by introducing “capitation policy” where patients could visit only a particular hospital when they were sick in the region.”
Mr. Adomako indicated that “Mahama knows very well he can’t achieve anything in his four years left but trying to deceive Ghanaians to win political power.
Interestingly, this same Mahama is going about telling Ghanaians to vote him into power. What at all is Mahama coming to do differently with his incompetent track record?”
