Asokwa NPP Primaries: Edmund Kyei Files Nomination forms to Contest Mama Pat
Mr. Edmund Kyei,the immediate past Asokwa first vice chairman for the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP),has satisfied all requirements for the forthcoming parliamentary primaries slated for 27th January,2024.
The Asokwa constituency chairman, Rev. Benjamin Fosu Nkrumah, accepted the nomination forms,after a careful scrutiny of the documents among other necessities.

Edmund Kyei,was accompanied by some of his supporters to the party’s office at Atonsu on Friday, 22nd December, 2023, to file the nomination forms.
The Chairman for Council of Elders, Research and Elections officer among other party executives we’re also present to witnessed the process.
A good number of polling station Officers and electoral area coordinators(all delegates) who turned up hailed the immediate past first vice chairman who doubles as a businessman as he filed his forms, chanting “change is coming”, “the chosen one” “delegates’ choice”, “woy3 y3 yaa Edmund Kyei b3ba”; a display of their dissatisfaction with the 12 years parliamentary delivery of the incumbent MP, Hon Patricia Appiagyei.
The spokesperson for Edmund Keyi,Hon.Asante Amoabeng Emmanuel in an interview with media,said that per the worrying status-quo, Asokwa constituency needs Mr. Edmund Kyei to bring into fruition the much desired change.
He accused the incumbent MP, Hon. Patricia Appiagyei for abysmal performance and her failure to secure jobs for unemployed party youth in the constituency.
He said even delegates who elected her into office had until now been neglected and left jobless by the incumbent.
“She doesn’t care about the delegates.Piled up application letters at the job center have up till now not been worked on by our MP.,he alleged.
They described Edmund Kyei as humble, calm, visionary and the choice of delegates to salvage the constituency from the litany of challenges.
