With barely three weeks to the December 7 general election, the clergy, imams, nananom and Zongo chiefs have been called upon to boldly speak against the alleged evil plots by the main opposition party in Ghana, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in order to help ensure peaceful elections.

Dr. Francis Adomako, the Ashanti Regional Organiser for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), made this passionate appeal on Wednesday, 13th November 2024.

According to him, no one will be spared if the stakeholders remain silent and allow NDC members to implement their evil plots or agenda to create confusion before, during and after the upcoming elections.

Dr.Francis Adomako aka Francois

Dr. Adomako, who is popularly known in the political space as Francois, stressed, “I’m entreating the clergy, all chiefs, imams, various unions, opinion leaders and civil society groups to start speaking against the evil plots of the NDC.”

Francois, who is also the Dean of all Regional Organisers, said the conduct of the NDC members in Parliament showed clearly that they wanted to create a scene in Parliament, where there would be a fight between NPP caucus and NDC caucus.

The Ashanti NPP Organiser alleged that they (NDC members) had started removing and destroying NPP’s flags and billboards.

“They (NDC members) are not campaigning but rather insulting our flagbearer and others. They’re planning to cause mayhem on election day, especially in our strongholds, so that people will not come out to vote,” he claimed.

“My appeal goes to them (NDC members) to do their research well to see the way Dr. Bawumia does his campaign. Listen to his utterances and compare them to that of Mahama. Whilst one is talking about policies and programmes, Mahama is insulting everyone,” he added.
