CEO of Alhaji &Madina Company named most outstanding building contractor in Ashanti region

 

 

Alhaji Aliu Salis,the Managing Director of one of the leading construction Companies in Ghana, Alhaji & Madina Construction Company Ltd,has been named the most outstanding building contractor  in the Ashanti regional edition of Career Excellence(CEA) Awards 2023.

The colorful career excellence conference & awards night was held at Prempeh Assembly hall in Kumasi on Friday,5th May,2023.

The Career Excellence Awards (CEA) under the auspices of DOMFO Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in USA and Ghana in 2010 formerly known as touchmyheart Foundation was organized to recognize and appreciate the effort and achievements of society members and also to honor outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of career development for career success especially among the youth in entrepreneurship within the Ashanti region.

Alhaji Aliu Salis was given a plaque and a citation for the award which reads “This citation is to recognize your career of meritorious achievement and outstanding contributions to the progress of your community and Ashanti region.

The CEO of Alhaji and Madina construction Company, Alhaji Aliu Salis in an interview with Journalists, after receiving the most outstanding building contractor said he was not surprised about the award because his track record of achievements especially in the construction sector in the region among other parts of the country attest to fact that he deserves the award.

 

He thanked Allah for the strength and wisdom given to him  that has led to the recognition by the organizers through the general public voting to chose their most outstanding building contractor.

He revealed that despite giving employment to several youth,he is also training those aspiring to become building contractors.

According to him,if the youth in the Country decide to learn skills they would surely know how to do it.”We had to also learned from others before raising to the current level!

Alhaji Aliu Salis advised the youth to build their career by embracing the new technological era with humility and respect.

He cautioned them to desist from all social vices that have tendency to thwart their career development.

He stressed on the need for them to be honest in their dealings.

Alhaji and Madina (A&M) Construction is a private limited liability company registered under the Ghana Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179) Ministry of Works and Housing Certification (D1K1), and Ministry of Roads and Highways Certification (A1, B1 and A3, B3), and Minerals and Mining Act 2006 (Act 703).

Having worked for over fifteen (15) years now, A& M services cover general construction, as well as electrical and civil works of all sizes and levels of complexity, from small interior restorations to some of Ghana’s most complicated civil projects. .

He said as part of efforts to promote youth entrepreneurship, government must also give discounts on the cost of registration of their companies at the Registrar General’s Department and when registering their products with the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) and the Foods and Drugs Authority(FDA) to help them grow.

Mr. Berchie Antwi, urged entrepreneurs who had succeeded in their fields to put their success stories into writings so as to encourage young people to learn from them and start where they left off.
