Chief appeals to govt to upgrade CHPS compound at Kamampa to address health needs

The chief of Kamampa near Abease in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region, Kamampawura Kwame Wande II, has made a passionate appeal to the government through the Ministry of Health to upgrade the CHPS compound at Kamampa to help address the health needs of the people.

He said the area is witnessing an increasing number of people every day, and there is a need to put in place measures to meet the health needs since health is paramount in everyone’s life.Kamampawura said, since ascending into the stool in 2005, he has undertaken a number of bold interventions for the growth and progress of Kamampa.

He explained that, in 2005, the Kamampa basic school was in a dilapidated state, and through his efforts and lobbying skills, the school received attention.

He said currently from KG to class six are all in four classrooms, which is not conducive for teaching and learning, and called on the government through the District Assembly to build more classrooms in order to separate the pupils into their respective classrooms.

 

 

Kamampawura emphasised that he is committed to the skills training of youth and assured the government that vast lands have been earmarked for the establishment of vocational and technical schools so that youth become employable in the future.

“The future of Ghana depends on our youth, and we must do what we can to guarantee their future.” He added. Kamampawura said he had also been solving issues amicably affecting his people, and that has brought lasting peace to the area

.On the road, Kamampawura thanked the previous NPP government for constructing the road from Prang-Abease through Kamampa-Zabrama-Kintampo. He also thanked the current NDC government for continuing the same road that has brought great relief not only to commuters but to the farmers as well.

According to Kamampawura, farmers in the area can now easily transport their foodstuffs to the marketing centres more easily.
