Ghanaians across the country, especially those in the Bosome Freho District of the Ashanti Region, have been admonished to totally disregard palpable lies against the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Mr Kofi Adu Amoateng.

According to them, they are shocked at a viral video which contains the falsehood that Mr. Amoateng has demanded money from certain miners within the area to support the campaign activities of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

RECORDS SET STRAIGHT ON BOSOME FREHO DCE DEMAND FOR MONEY FROM MINERS TO SUPPORT NPP ACTIVITIES.

We, the concerned members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) within the Bosome Freho Constituency in the Ashanti Region, are expressing shock and concerns about media reports circulating in the public space accusing our Hon. Kofi Adu Amoateng, the District Chief Executive for Bosome Freho, of collecting money from each of the small scale-miners, who operate in the district, to support the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the NPP for 2024, Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, during his recent visit to the Bosome Freho Constituency to meet and address party members, Nananom and sympathisers.

There is a video circulating in which the host of ‘Onua Maakye’ morning show programme, Godsbrain Captain Smart, together with his two other supporting colleagues, were accusing Hon. Kofi Adu Amoateng of extorting money from small-scale miners, who operate their activities in the Bosome Freho District, to support the visit of Hon. Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

We, as concerned NPP members within the Bosome Freho Constituency, feel very uncomfortable with the unfortunate comment made by Captain Smart and his team.

The reason is that he had indicated to the journalist,who earlier called the Hon DCE that he had no knowledge of monies being extorted from any miner.

We,are by this urging the general public to discard those unfounded, diabolic and tactical agenda set to work against our DCE.

We, also want to send a signal to those within and outside the NPP in the Bosome Freho District,who are pursuing a diabolic agenda against Hon. Kofi Adu Amoateng to desist from that since it will not do anything good for them, but rather it will end up working against ‘breaking the 8’ agenda in the district which is being pursued by the party.
