DON’T BE UNGRATEFUL TO MUNTAKA – Asawase NDC group fights back
The Asawase Vanguards of Muntaka are deeply pained by the decision of the party to relieve our MP of his position in Parliament as the Minority Chief Whip.
We therefore join numerous other well-meaning members of our great NDC across the country to condemn this unwise decision by the party. Upon all that Hon. Muntaka has done for our party, even at the centre of a very hostile environment of the NPP’s stronghold, you dare subject him to embarrassment and ridicule.
This unpopular step by the party, if not condemned, would go a long way to demoralise some hardworking, selfless members of our party, since the perception of our party out there is one which doesn’t appreciate its hardworking members.
Frankly, we are shocked that some experienced and seasoned politicians at the national leadership level of our party such as Chairman Asiedu Nketia and General Secretary Fiifi Kwetey would allow themselves to be influenced by the trappings of power. This action is undiplomatic and uncharacteristic of leaders expected to lead and save this country from the crisis it finds itself.
The former President should also know that, the fact that victory 2024 is almost here on a sliver platter, does not mean he should show blatant ingratitude to the people who have been his pillars over the years. Gratitude is very important in politics. This is not how his predecessors managed our party.
We are therefore making it known to them that, we will advise ourselves if nothing is done by the party to address our concerns.
God bless Hon. Muntaka
God bless Asawase NDC
God bless Ghana
