DR BAWUMIA REMAINS THE ONLY PERSON TO WIN POWER FOR NPP — MICHAEL ANSAH

A former NPP-UK Branch chairman and former CEO of GIADEC Mr Michael Ansah, has declared that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia remains the only person capable of leading the New Patriotic Party (NPP) back to power.
Mr Ansah made this strong assertion while speaking on Bethel Radio/TV during a political discussion programme hosted by Thomas Oheneba Kwame Boakye.

According to Michael Ansah, the NPP is at a critical stage following its time in opposition, and the party must make a strategic, forward-looking decision in choosing its next flagbearer. He stressed that the party needs a leader with national appeal, proven competence, credibility, and a clear understanding of Ghana’s modern governance challenges.
“Dr Bawumia remains the only person who can win power for the NPP,” Mr Ansah stated firmly.

“He has been tested, he understands governance, and he has the vision and ideas that resonate with the Ghanaian people, especially the youth and floating voters.”
He highlighted Dr Bawumia’s experience at the highest level of government, his role in key economic and digital transformation initiatives, and his ability to communicate policy ideas clearly both in Ghana and internationally. According to him, these qualities set Dr Bawumia apart from other contenders within the party.

Mr Ansah further cautioned supporters of all aspirants to conduct themselves with discipline and respect, emphasising that internal division and unnecessary attacks could weaken the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

“After the primaries, the NPP must unite quickly. What matters most is winning back the trust of Ghanaians and returning the party to power,” he added.

The discussion forms part of Bethel Radio/TV’s ongoing series on the NPP Presidential Primaries, providing a platform for party elders, communicators, and grassroots members—both in Ghana and the diaspora—to share their views on the future direction of the party.

Bethel Radio/TV continues to position itself as a key platform for issue-based political dialogue, encouraging constructive engagement without insults, as the NPP prepares for crucial internal elections.
