The paramount Chief of Boso-Gua Traditional area in the Eastern region, Okotwasuo Nyarko Yeboah lll, has made a passionate appeal to the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs to work towards bringing an end to the plethora of chieftaincy disputes in Boso-Gua in the Asuogyaman district of the Eastern Region.
According to Nana Nyarko Yeboah lll,the disputes are currently thwarting the efforts of attracting the needed developments to the people in the traditional area and nearby communities.

He said Boso-Gua Traditional Area, is a generally peaceful place to live and engage in any human- endeavour. However, chieftaincy conflict is impeding development.
According to him,for about 10 years now, the people of Boso-Gua Traditional, have not been able to celebrate ‘Ojooni festival” all due to chieftaincy disputes.
Nana Nyarko Yeboah, is therefore,calling on the government, Ministry of chieftaincy to take the necessary actions help settle the disputes.
The Omanhene also appealed to the government as matter of urgency to mobilise resources at his disposal to end all these conflicts in Boso-Gua Traditional Area.
The Queen of Boso, has equally appealed to the government to assist them to resolve the conflict to ensure peace and development of Boso-Gua Traditional Area.
On their part,a cross section of the residents,in an interaction with the media,indicated that conflict has made it difficult for the people of Boso-Gua Traditional area to enjoy peace and development.
‘Boso- Gua ,once a time a very busy commercial town, is now struggling to rebuild from the ashes of protracted conflict”,a resident lamented.
