The Leader of African Faith Tabernacle Church, Superior Prophet Stephen Frimpong Nkansah lll, popularly known as Odifoo Nkansah, has counselled eligible Ghanaian voters to oppose political manipulation, urging everyone to be cautious and defend national harmony.
He called on Ghanaians, especially the youth, to remain vigilant and not succumb to political manipulation for the personal gains of unscrupulous politicians as the December 7 elections approach.
Odifoo Nkansah made the comments during the church’s national/international convention at the Independence Square in Accra on 1st December 2024. The convention was on the theme: “…l will not come into the Tabernacle of my house.”

He emphasised the necessity of maintaining unity and promoting peace before, during and after the December polls within our communities.
He highlighted a disturbing trend where young individuals from these communities are often recruited by politicians to engage in violent activities, only to be met with empty promises when their benefactors ascend to power. He characterised this manipulation as a tragic state of affairs, adding that sacrificing one’s life for the ambitions of others is an affront to one’s dignity and value.

“In the 21st century, we must evolve and stop allowing politicians to dictate our lives,” Odifoo Nkansah stressed.
He reiterated that participation in a political party is a right accorded to all citizens, but this involvement should never translate into acts of violence or vigilantism.
“We should be political persons, using our minds to discern truth from coercion and manipulation,” he said, encouraging voters to evaluate candidates based on their character intelligence, principled leadership and a genuine commitment to the welfare of the nation, rather than superficial qualities or material incentives.
A Legal Practitioner of the church, Lawyer Elijah Turkson Bonsu, said he was working hard to ensure victory over opposers of peace and his action would bring unity, peace and God’s glory.
He, therefore, appealed to the church members to support their leaders in every decision they take, remain calm and be focused on the will of God.
