Elvis Dapaah Wins NPP Ahafo Ano South West Primary

A renowned businessman, Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, who is affectionately called Okumkom, has been elected to represent the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ahafo Ano South West Constituency in the Ashanti Region for the 2024 parliamentary election.

Elvis Dapaah, who was highly tipped to win the contest, polled 357 votes to beat three other contestants.

 

 

Lawyer K. Serbeh obtained 84 votes; Adwoa Adutwumwaa Boadi had 48 votes, whilst Prof. Peter Twumasi, the Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), managed to garner seven votes.

The peaceful election held at the district and constituency capital, Mankraso, was conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC) and supervised by the national and regional representatives of the party.

Elvis Dapaah thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in him. He promised to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to maximise votes for the NPP in the 2024 elections.
