As members of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) brainstorm to find out the causes of their terrible defeat in the just-ended general election on December 7 and how to recapture power in 2028, some lobbyists have started clamouring for a change in both the regional and national executives of the party for new faces.

The former Minister for Youth & Sports under Nana Akufo- Addo’s first term in Office and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Mponua constituency in the Ashanti region,Mr.Isaac Kwame Asiamah,flyer has gone viral for eyeing the Party’s general secretary position, which is currently occupied by Lawyer Justin Frimpong Kodua.

A senior member of NPP,name withheld for now sent an article attached below;

Dealing with a party like NDC, our party needs a vibrant, aggressive and a human relations person like Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah to thwart the nefarious efforts of our evergreen opponents, the National Democratic Congress.

A brief background of Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah

Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah entered Parliament in 2005 at the tender age of 29 and was then the youngest Member of Parliament and had the rare opportunity to work with the venerable Joseph Henry Mensah, Nana Akufo Addo,Yaw Osafo Maafo,Papa Owusu Ankomah, Kwamena Bartels, Gladys Asmah, SK Boafo, IC Quaye,Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku,Nana Akomea, , Theresa Ameley,Tagoe,and other distinguished members of our great party who fortified the fruition of Parliamentary Democracy in our fourth Republic.

He was appointed as the Chairman of Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth, Sports and Culture. He later became the Ranking Member of the same Committee. Hon. Asiamah also served on the various Parliamentary Committees such as Finance, Public Accounts and Energy. He was very active and vocal and had distinguished himself as a budding legislator.
Isaac Kwame Asiamah was appointed as the Minister of Youth and Sports by President Nana Akufo Addo where he also distinguished himself to the admiration of Sports fraternity.

He was elected to serve on a Commonwealth Youth Chair.
He was a Member of the National Executive Committee of the Party and also a National Council member of the Party. He was also a Research Officer of the Party.

Hon Issue Asianah

He was later appointed by the National Executive Committee of the Party as The Policy Analyst of the Party. Isaac Kwame Asiamah founded Tescon, of the University of Ghana.A student wing of the Party that continues to champion the mission,vision and the policies of the party.After which other Tertiary Institutions also began to establish Tescon Branches.

Isaac Asiamah is a huge Pillar in the party who has touched the lives of many party rank and file.
He has the qualities,the traits and the acumen to salvage our great party with the support of the grassroots,other potential executives and the entire machinery of the Party.

The New Patriotic Party needs Isaac Kwame Asiamah also known as Sharp, Sharp to restore the glory,hope and confidence in the hearts of our disgruntled Party members.
