An Editor-in-Chief of the
Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), who is also the current Public Affairs Officer of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Madam Rebecca Ekpe, has officially declared her intention to contest the Vice-President position in the upcoming elections by the Association.
According to her, having served as the Public Affairs Officer of the GJA, she believes she has gained enough experience that has adequately prepared her for a higher level in the service of the GJA.

In a statement to announce her intention for the post, the hard-working Rebecca Ekpe said she would contribute a great deal to promote the development of the journalism profession and the entire media fraternity in Ghana.
She said, as Vice-President, she would shape GJA’s policies and initiatives geared towards excellence in journalism, including the protection of the rights of members in the media fraternity in general.

ANNOUNCEMENT!
Dear Senior Journalists, Colleagues and Members of the Ghana Journalists Association.
I am happy to announce that, after deep reflections, I have decided to contest the VICE-PRESIDENT position in the upcoming Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) national elections.
My passion for media growth and development has primarily inspired this move.
As Vice-President of the GJA, l will contribute a great deal to promote the development of the journalism profession and the entire media industry in Ghana.
My role as Vice-President will
also be critical in contributing to shape GJA’s policies and initiatives towards excellence in journalism, as well as protecting the rights of members, journalists and the media fraternity in general.
Besides, l would be supporting the President and the GJA National Executive Committee to effectively and efficiently deliver their mandates.
Having served a term as Public Affairs Officer of the GJA, l believe l have gained enough experience that has adequately prepared me for the next level in the service of the GJA.
