INVEST IN YOUR CHILDREN EDUCATION INSTEAD OF FUNERAL CLOTHING-Ohene Yere Akosua Serwaa II advises Parents

The Ayigya wura, Ohene yere Akosua Serwaa II, Hiahene has dined with hundreds of orphans, vulnerable and widows  at Ayigya in the Oforikrom municipality of Ashanti. Items given include biscuits, food, pastries, drinks and undisclosed amount of money to the selected participants.

 

Prior to the commencement of the program, Ayigya wura took the stage and danced with the widows, orphans from the All Nations Charity Home and the entire community to show her love to them especially this Yuletide.

Speaking to the journalists, she said, this is the way of showing love and letting them to feel that they are also part of the society.

According to Ayigya wura, it is not easy to live without parents and husbands but they should not be deterred and continue to pray to God and remain steadfast in their faith who is the destiny changer.

 

She explained that the community had been always behind her since she became Ayigya wura all because of her transparency, accountability, accommodating, humility and above all God fearing. Ayigya wura took the opportunity to advise the women especially to see education as a legacy and that they should channel their little resources into their children education.

She said buying of expensive clothes would not bear any good fruit in future.

 

“Don’t use your monies to buy funeral clothes and other items but use them to buy children books and other educational materials so as to  guarantee their future ” ,She added.

Ayigya wura also took advantage of the event to advise  children to be studious at all times and desist from engaging in acts that are likely to jeopardize their future like stealing, teenage pregnancy and other social vices.

She assured the people that she would do what she can as a benevolent especially in the area of educational support through the payment of fees.
