Kingmakers, residents of Offinso rally behind Paramount Chief to celebrate Akwasidae

The Paramount Chief of the Offinso Traditional Council and some individuals witnessed another successful Akwasidae celebration last Sunday, March 2, 2025.

The event was successfully led by Nana Dwamena Akenten II, the Omanhene of Offinso, at Offinso Old Town.

Members of the Akonkodeasi and Ahyerim families were in attendance to pay their respects to Nana Dwamena Akenten II.

The security forces, including both the military and the police, ensured a secure environment for the occasion under the leadership of ACP B. K. Gyasi.

The Queen of Offinso Traditional Council and the Omanhene fulfilled their duties for the stool, while the people joyfully chanted and danced to the beat of the drums.

During a media interview, the Abusuapanin of the Ashyerim Royal family, Nana Atta Kwabena, expressed confidence in their unity to uphold traditional responsibilities that would contribute to the growth and prosperity of Ashanteman and its traditional affairs.

Additionally, the Linguist of the Offinso Traditional Council, Okyeame Kwaku Wiafe, gave an assurance that they were committed to supporting the growth of the Offinso Traditional Council by actively participating in relevant activities alongside the subchiefs.
