  1. Professor Berchie Asiedu

Berchie Asiedu is a full professor of fisheries science and aquaculture with the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources of the University of Energy and Natural Resources.

He has over 17 years of experience with a deep interest in small-scale fisheries (marine and inland), sustainable aquaculture, fisheries value chain assessment, blue economy, fisheries and ocean governance, marine/aquatic resources conservation, fisheries economics and management and climate change.

Professor Berchie Asiedu

He has provided a number of services to the Government of Ghana including serving currently as the Acting Deputy Executive Director (Technical, Fisheries Commission), Member of the National Blue Economy Strategy Technical Committee, National Committee on Aquaculture, and Technical Committee to facilitate the operationalization of fisheries and transport related infrastructure.

He has conducted fisheries and aquaculture research/fieldwork in several countries, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Liberia, Nigeria, Mauritius, Senegal and the United Kingdom. He has undertaken a number of research projects and consultancy works for organizations such as AU, EU, EDF, UNIDO, USAID, and OXFAM.
