The leading telecommunication company in Ghana, MTN has officially launched its annual 21 days of Y’ello Care campaign at a short ceremony in Kumasi.
This year’s campaign focuses on “Empowering entrepreneurs to unlock growth and job creation for communities, and it will run from 1 to 21st June,2023 across MTN’s Operation areas.
The Senior Commercial Manager in charge of Northern Business Sector, Mr.Simon Amoh speaking at the officially launching ceremony said the 21 Days of Y’ello Care Challenge is an annual employee volunteer initiative launched by MTN Group in 2007 to encourage MTN staff to commit their time and resources to community service for 21 days in June.
According to him, the “21 Days of Y’ello Care” is a competition amongst MTN operations to secure the highest number of staff involved in volunteerism and initiating projects with remarkable impact.

The country with the highest staff participation wins the prize money of $100,000 to be reinvested in community projects”.
Mr.Simon Amo mentioned specifically that within the 21 days of 2023 Y’ello care campaign their focus is to train hundreds of Dress makers Association members on the modern way of promoting their businesses through the digital platforms as well as equipping or training them in Book Keeping to enable them improve on their record keeping.
He therefore urged the leaders of the Dress Makers Association who were present at the ceremony to inform all their members to take advantage of the program to improve upon their businesses.
Mr.Amo also challenged the staff of the Company in the Northern Business Sector to work extra hard to enable them win the $100,000 award package this year.
According to him,since the inception of 21 Days of Y’ello Care Campaign in 2007, the initiative has impacted millions of people and communities across the continent of Africa.
He revealed that through the Y’ello Care Campaign, MTN Staff have put up a community library, a school block, and donated educational materials to several schools, refurbished and painted number of school blocks, donated hospital equipment etc.
Mr.Nicolas Amissah,the Ahodwo Zonal Chairman of DressMakers Association who spoke on behalf of Association at the launching ceremony, heaps praises on MTN Ghana for selecting them as a beneficiary of the 21 days of 2023 Y’ello care campaign.
He also expresses the excitement of the Association for MTN’s Ghana staff selected topics to train them on especially modern ways of promoting their businesses on digital platforms as well as training them in book keeping. Mr.Amissah said the members of the Association were ready for the training.
A member of the Planning Committee for 21 Days of Y’ello care,Mr.Emmanuel Owusu said many activities have been lineup to train young entrepreneurs and dress makers on how to leverage on the various digital platforms to improve upon their businesses and also train most especially the Dress Makers and others in book keeping.
