The Chief Executive for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Mr. Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi, popularly known as Zuba, has declared his determination to serve Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, well.
According to him, Kumasi belongs to the Asantehene, and he believes the King’s influence played a vital role in his appointment.

Speaking on Opemsuo Radio’s programme – Nkwantannanso – with Kofi Boakye, the mayor stated that his goal is to honour the Asantehene by working to restore the image of Kumasi as the Garden City of Ghana.
He further addressed the backlash concerning his decision to flog street traders as part of measures to clean the filth within the Central Business District of the city. He said his comment was misconstrued.

According to him, he does not intend to flog them but he will definitely evict them. He has, therefore, called for the support of all residents to enable him to work effectively.
“If I get the support of all residents, the work will be easy for me to help Kumasi regain its lost glory of being the Garden City of West Africa, so as to attract tourists and investors,” he indicated.
