The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has officially published notice of poll for the election of its parliamentary candidate for the impending by-election as a result of the sudden death of Hon. Philip Basoah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area.
The notice of poll reads “KUMAWU PARLIAMENTARY PRIMARIES 2023.The New Patriotic Party hereby gives notice that the following persons have been duly nominated and approved to contest Kumawu Parliamentary by-election primaries in Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti region on 23rd April,2023.
Per the notice poll, the Candidates and how they’re placed on the ballot paper is as follows:
Kwame Appiah-Kumi No.1, Yaw Baah.No. 2,DA-Costa Aboagye, No.3,Ama Serwah N-T,No.4 ,Ernest Yaw Anim,No.5 and Osei-Hwere Kwame Bempah No.6 on the ballot respectively.
The Party further gives notice that the polls shall be taken at an extraordinary constituency delegate conference on Sunday, 23rd April, 2023 in Kumasi between the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm in the afternoon.Source:tntnewspapergh.com
