Kumawu DCE,MP Commend Gov’t ,MOE for STEM school Project
Information reaching The New Trust Newspaper indicates that the Minister of Education,Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum,has given greenlight for construction of Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Koduah Science, Technology, Engineering,and Mathematics (STEM) school at Sekyere Kumawu District of the Ashanti region.
The Location of the STEM school named after Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua,the Paramount Chief of Kumawu Traditional Council is at Kumawu -Besoro Community.
To this end, Paul Amantem Limited,the company constructing the STEM school at about 18 acres land has already cleared for actual construction to begin.

The layout of the project indicates that there would be 4-storey rectangular block,1500 capacity multipurpose hall and Kitchen,2no.2 storey dormitory block with 2no.staff accomodation.
Other part include;2no.8 unit 4 storey flat,1no.Head master’s bungalow as well as semi-detached bungalow.
The Highly elated District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere Kumawu,Hon.Samuel Addai Agyekum and Hon.Enerst Yaw Anim ,the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area have commended Nana Addo/Dr.Bawumia’s Government as well as Ministry of Education led by Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum for selecting the District to benefit from the STEM schools.

They also praised Kumawuhene, Barima Sarfo Tweneboah Kodua for released of vast land for the project.
According to them, education is the backbone of every community or nation and the commitment of Nana Addo led Government in education sector is unprecedented.
They said the project when completed would go along way to help build a solid foundation for the pupils in the area with STEM facilities to enjoy practical experience.
Hon.Samuel Addai Agyekum who spoke on behalf of Hon.Ernest Yaw Anim said as if that was not enough, Sekyere District has also received budgetary allocation from the District Assemblies Common Fund for provision of physical infrastructure to support the operations of the Ghana Judicial Service.
The Tender for project was opened by Public Procurement Authority (PPP) on 26th June,2023 and the deadline fixed for 3rd July,2023.
The process would pave way for the final award for the construction of Court House and bungalow for the Judge.
