TO : ALL MEDIA HOUSES him if tome
I deem it fit to come out and clear the air about an allegation made against me by our Member of parliament for Kwadaso Hon. Kingsley Nyarko on Hello FM in Kumasi on 25th January 2024 that I, Mr Yaw Bonah Buadi, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadaso Constituency chairman is not in favour of his bid to win the primaries to become the Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Kwadaso in the upcoming primaries.
The truth of the matter is that the Hon MP for reasons best known to him has chosen to play a divide and rule tactics to create disunity amongst both the polling station and the constituency executives.
Prof Dr.Kingsley Nyarko, Kwadaso MP
His schemes have now become an albatross around his own neck.
It is clear that Hon. Kingsley Nyarko in a gesture to appreciate the efforts of our hardworking polling station executives during the Christmas was selective in deciding who should benefit from his benevolence.
However, when I personally asked him why he did that, he told me point blank that he foresees a situation where not all the delegates would vote for him .
Not only that, the MP couldn’t even call me on phone to wish me happy Christmas in my capacity as the constituency chairman, my secretary, organizer or the women’s organizer. But strangely he was able to visit some constituency executives to give them gifts to mark the occasion.
Again, on my recent visit to some of the polling station executives in the constituency, the MP told them not to honour my invitation. All these acts are a clear indication that the MP is not prepared to display leadership qualities
As you are all aware Kwadaso was one of the few constituencies which provided the highest number of votes for the NPP in the Region in particular and the country in general in the 2020 elections, a feat attributed to the unity that prevailed among party members at that time.
The disturbing truth is that by his conduct the MP is creating disunity among party members and there is the likelihood that the votes we anticipate could come the way of the NPP would reduce drastically in the 2024 general election.
The electorate especially, the youth in the constituency are worried by his actions.
All these and many reasons make it difficult for those of us who want to maximize the NPP’s votes and break the 8 unwilling to throw our weight behind him.
Yaw Bonah Boadi
Kwadaso Constituency Chairman (NPP)
