Mr Abambila John, a member of the Ashanti Regional communications team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has congratulated Mr Akwasi Adusei, a former Member of Parliament (MP) and 2024 parliamentary candidate for the area, on his nomination by President John Mahama, as District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano North in the Ashanti Region.

He has, therefore, called on the residents of the area, especially the members of the NDC, to rally behind the nominees.

Speaking to “The New Trust” newspaper on Tuesday, 6th May 2025, a few hours after the release of the list of nominees for the Ashanti Region, Mr Abambila pleaded with NDC members across the district, especially Ahafo Ano North, to remain calm and support all the nominees.

“Let’s all rally behind President’s nominee for Ahafo Ano North. Also, I’m asking all party members in Ahafo Ano North to remain calm and work tirelessly with the nominee, Akwasi Adusei. We should be more concerned about development in the district than seeking selfish-interest,” he stressed.

He was hopeful that with the support of Assembly members, nananom, residents and the party members, the nominee, if confirmed, would work assiduously to help bring the needed development to the area.

The NDC communicator, who is a resident of the area, stressed the need for unity among the rank and file of the NDC, especially to help President Mahama and his appointees implement programmes and policies for the betterment of all Ghanaians.
