Movement for Change rejects calls for Alan to rejoin NPP ahead of 2028 elections

The Movement for Change (MFC), has rejected calls for its leader, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, to rejoin the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

This comes after some NPP stalwarts suggested that the party should call back all members who broke away or were suspended for various reasons.

According to the proponents, this move would unite the party and increase its chances of winning the 2028 polls.

However, a leading member of the Movement for Change and political strategist, Ebo Buckman, says it would be difficult for them to join the NPP, given the party’s current state.

Speaking on the Kumasi-based OTEC 102.9 FM’s afternoon political show Dwabrem, Ebo Buckman emphasized that the NPP should focus on organizing itself rather than seeking to reunite with former members.

He criticized the NPP’s leadership, stating that their arrogance contributed to their loss of power.

Ebo Buckman asserted that members of the Movement for Change, including Alan Kyerematen, are better off without the NPP.

He expressed confidence in the Movement for Change’s direction and dismissed the idea of rejoining the NPP.
