The concert featured many gospel artistes, such as Jack Alolome, Kwaku Gyasi, Daughters of Glorious Jesus and Brother Sammy.
The musicians delivered powerful performances that left the audience yearning for more.
A number of participants, in an interview with the media after the event, said the performance of the guest musicians exceeded all expectations, becoming a night filled with divine energy, powerful music, and an overwhelming sense of spiritual renewal.
The Ashanti Konnect concert musical festival, according to the organisers, was more than just a musical celebration. It was also an opportunity for the people of the region to come together and reflect on the true essence of Easter.
In a remark, Dr. Amoakohene has expressed his gratitude to MTN Ghana for its significant sponsorship of the Ashanti Konnect concert musical festival, a key event in the Ashantifest 2025 celebrations.
According to Dr. Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council deliberately avoided using public funds or state to sponsor the festival to avoid criticism of extravagant spending.
Instead, the council reached out to institutions and corporate entities, and MTN Ghana responded positively by sponsoring the music festival.
Dr. Amoakohene, therefore, commended MTN Ghana for its support.
He admitted that the Ashanti Region has come to accept MTN as a preferred telecommunications network partner. “I am urging all of you to use MTN network and to those who do not have the SIM, I’m going to buy MTN Sim card for all of you as an appreciation for what the company has done for us,” he added.
Dr. Amoakohene specifically thanked MTN Ghana for providing a free special bundle (*141# Ashantifest 2025 bundle).
The minister explained that the Ashantifest 2025 celebration was designed to showcase talents in various sectors, promote individual talents, and unite the region to achieve great things.
The festival featured a range of activities, including a clean-up exercise, football, boxing night, education, science, and technology exhibitions, cultural festivals, food festivals, jama festival, medical screening, among others.
Dr. Amoakohene also highlighted some of the notable achievements of the festival, including the renovation of the Ghana Prison Clinic in Kumasi to provide quality healthcare delivery for inmates.
Besides, he mentioned that the festival had brought attention to the plight of inmates, leading to donations to help them celebrate Easter and the provision of legal aid to those in need.
He revealed that 66 inmates on the amnesty list were to be presented to the President for possible presidential pardon.
The Ashantifest 2025 celebration was a resounding success, thanks in part to the partnership between the Ashanti Regional Co-ordinating Council and MTN Ghana.
Dr. Amoakohene’s commitment to promoting talent, unity, and development in the region is evident in the diverse range of activities and initiatives undertaken during the festival.
The impact of Ashantifest 2025 extends beyond the celebrations themselves, with tangible benefits for the community, including improved healthcare for inmates and support for those in need.
