Justin Frimpong Kodua Esq, General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has cautioned government appointees to up their game, adding that underperforming ones would soon be reshuffled.
He noted that the party had started an evaluation and assessment of all appointees, hinting he would soon put the names of those who were underperforming for a possible reshuffle by the President.
Addressing the three days Ashanti Regional students wing popularly termed as TESCON conference last Saturday, the General Secretary said the party cannot take any slackened performance from any appointee anymore.
“The NPP is not going to give up the mantle of government now and so all our efforts should be aimed at working to retain it in power and soon all underperforming ministers including MMDCEs would be pencilled for a reshuffle by the President”, the Secretary firmly stated.
NPP SCHOOL:
The General Secretary also hinted of plans by the NPP to start a school specially tailored to train and groom its members in the philosophy and ideals on which the party was founded.
The school, he noted would then begin the training of its members across the country and sharpen their skills for party work.
Lawyer Kodua commended TESCON members including its founders and patrons across the country for their continued sacrifices and commitment to growing the intellectual wing of the party.
The General Secretary offered an apology for the party’s inability to allow TESCON members to vote in the last regional and national conference of the party and promised to ensure that the mishap never happens again.
WIFE OF VEEP:
Hajia Samira Bawumia, Wife of the Vice President addressing the conference as guest of honor, encouraged TESCON members to show commitment to the course of the NPP just as they had done in previous times.
She noted that the NPP rewards hard work and those who have opportunity to serve at positions at TESCON should take advantage and offer good service to the party.
Hajia Samira called for the conscious sustenance of unity in the party and rallied for the conduct of clean campaigns ahead of the upcoming presidential primaries.
“I urge you to be guided by the many examples we have in the party of sacrifice and commitment knowing that you would also be rewarded when you serve well”, wife of the Veep stated.
OTHER SPEAKERS:
Taking his turn to address the conference, Henry Nana Boakye, national organiser of the NPP urged TESCON leaders on various campuses to continue to imbibe the traits of commitment and hardwork in its members.
He stated that those who serve well will be rewarded by the party just as he has been graciously honored by NPP.
Salam Mustapha, national youth organiser of the party commended the Ashanti Regional Youth Wing and TESCON members for their conduct during the conference and urged them to put into practice the training they had been given at the three day conference.

Dr Kingsley Agyemang, Executive Director at the Scholarships secretariat commended TESCON for their continued sacrifices and dedication to the NPP and noted that in due time all persons who showed those traits will be rewarded by the party.
