I have watched with concern the recent video in which Hon. Kennedy Agyapong launched blistering attacks on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, accusing him of distorting history and calling him a liar over a statement he never made.

It has now become clear that the comment being attributed to Dr. Bawumia was in fact made by our Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) two days ago during the DMB tour here in Ashanti.This makes the attack on Dr. Bawumia completely unjustified and unfortunate.

I believe Hon. Kennedy Agyapong owes Dr. Bawumia, NPP delegates and the Ghanaian public an unqualified apology. Such an apology is necessary to calm nerves within the party, especially at a time when unity is crucial.

This episode raises serious concerns about the failure to verify facts before going public .

As a party, we can agree to  disagree, but we must do so with facts, decency and respect. Our focus must remain on strengthening the NPP, not tearing one another down.

I encourage all to verify their facts before we respond to issues. We are  one people  belonging  to the New Patriotic Party ONLY.
