NPP communicator accuses NDC for spending about Ghc30M to win Assin North by-election
A member of the Ashanti regional communications team of the governing New Patriotic Party(NPP),Nana Adjei has alleged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) spent closed to Thirty Million Ghana cedis to influence voters to win the Assin North by-election.
“If we want people who sent money to Assin North,then it’s the NDC who spent closed to 30 million Ghana cedi Just to retain the seat”,he alleged.

Speaking on Boss 93.7 FM ,a local based radio station in Kumasi “Ghana Kasa Afternoon show” monitored by TNTNEWSPAPERGH.COM,
Nana Adjei accused NDC of hypocrisy after allegedly distributing cutlasses, fertilizers among other farming inputs to induce Assin North voters .
According to him,the same NDC leading members turned round to accused NPP of bribing or influencing voters with money.
It would be recalled that
NDC’s James Gyakye Quayson won Assin North by-election with 57.56% held on Tuesday,27th June,2023 while the NPP’s Candidate,Mr.Charles Opoku obtained 42.15% . Source: tntnewspapergh.com
