Today, I stand in deep gratitude and reflection as I celebrate 20 years in broadcast journalism.
This journey began in 2006 at GHRadio1 , an online media platform that gave me my very first opportunity. I will always be grateful to the CEO, Mr. Harun Da Blowsman of GH Radio 1, who saw my talent, believed in me, and gave me a chance without doubt. That moment changed my life forever.
From there, the journey continued to Fox FM in 2007, where I learned, grew, and found my voice. In 2013, I moved on to Metro FM, gaining deeper experience and resilience in the craft. By 2016, my path led me to Kumasi FM/Adehye FM, where I sharpened my skills and strengthened my passion for storytelling and public service.
In 2020, I joined Wontumi TV, serving until 2021—a period that challenged me, tested my endurance, and broadened my perspective as a broadcast journalist. Then came a season of rest. For two years, I stepped back—not because the passion was gone, but because growth sometimes requires silence, healing, and reflection.
In 2023, I returned with renewed strength and purpose at Nhyira FM, a proud subsidiary of the Multimedia Group, serving until 2025. That chapter reaffirmed my calling and reminded me why I fell in love with journalism in the first place.

The road has not been smooth. There were moments of doubt, exhaustion, criticism, limited resources, and sacrifices that came at a personal cost. I missed moments, faced setbacks, and questioned myself more times than I can count. But through it all, the passion never left. The love for the microphone, the responsibility to inform, and the desire to give voice to the people kept me going.
There were also beautiful moments—stories that mattered, lives touched, lessons learned, and growth earned the hard way. Journalism taught me courage, humility, discipline, and resilience. It shaped not just my career, but the woman I have become.
It has truly been a nice experience—one filled with lessons, gratitude, and purpose.
I am thankful to every media house that became a home, every colleague who became family, every mentor who corrected and encouraged me, and every listener and viewer who trusted me.
As I mark 20 years, I do so with pride, gratitude, and hope for what lies ahead.
I am Eunice Nelson Aweh (Obaa Adwoa Nelson )—a broadcast journalist, still passionate, still learning, and still ready to tell stories that matter. 🎙️✨
