OFORIKROM CONCERNED YOUTH MASSIVE DEMO AGAINST MP,MCE POSTPONED TO SATURDAY 22 DUE TO REQUEST BY ASH POLICE COMMAND
Information reaching this portal indicates that the planned demonstration by the Concerned Youth of Oforikrom against their Member of Parliament (MP),Dr.Emmanuel Marfo and MCE,Hon Abraham Kwame Antwi originally scheduled for Saturday,14th January,2023 has been postponed to next week Saturday,22nd January,2023.
This decision according to the organizers of the demonstration follows last minutes frustration from the Ashanti regional police command.
And as law abiding citizens after consultation with their lawyers,they have decided to postpone the demonstration to next week.
The Convener of Concerned youth of oforikrom constituency demonstration, Jerry Sukah aka Papa Jay spoke on a viral audio about the reason why the demonstration has been called off and urged all concerned youth to humbly cooperate with them usual .
He said even though,they followed all the constitutional requirements of notifying the police five days before the demonstration and just a day to the demonstration,the police claims that they had to deploy most of their personnel to welcome KNUST students and other programs.
And pleaded with them to postpone it to a different date.
He said the communication bureau of the constituency was grateful for their kind support and cooperation… God bless you all..let’s kindly meet next Saturday”.

All is set for massive demonstration against Oforikrom Member of Parliament (MP),Dr.Emmanuel Marfo and Oforikrom Municipal Chief Executive(MCE),Hon.Abraham Kwame Antwi over what they described as bad leadership.
The protesters have been encouraged by the organizers to put on red and black attire and converge at Anloga Sisakyi bridge on Saturday,14th January,2022 at 6:00am.
The leaders of Oforikrom concerned youth are calling on the residents of the constituency especially those around the Anloga Sisakyi death-trap bridge to come out in their numbers to press home their demand.
One of the leaders of the Concerned youth who doubles as Oforikrom NDC Communications Officer, Jerry James Sukah aka Papa Jay said “we don’t have a representative because if we had one ,there shouldn’t have been a total neglect of the area like this.I am therefore calling on all residents of Oforikrom to come in their numbers to demonstrate against the MP and MCE of Oforikrom “,
Speaking on Garden City radio,a subsidiary of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation(GBC) in Kumasi on Thursday,,12rh January,2023 said the protesters will converge at Sasaki bridge come Saturday.
According to Papa Jay,about Fifteen (15) innocent residents in the area have so far lost their lives due to danger the bridge poses but update nothing has been done about it
