Some birds have whispered into my ears that you have likened the free food being giving to students under the Government’s Free Secondary Education Programme to that of your dogs. I may need some clarifications from you, Sir. ‘Which of your dogs did you make this reference to?’. This answer may help me/Government appreciate the exact context you are coming from and, possibly, seek solutions to them.

I am not worried you equated the living standards of humans to that of your dogs. For it happened even in the Bible where humans begged for the leftovers meant for dogs of the rich man, but could not get that to eat. What worries me precisely is the potential spirit-dumping psychological imprints such demoralizing statements, from people like you, may leave on the minds of these young ones.

Mr. Former President, let’s try to figure out some known living standards of dogs globally;
Firstly, there are group of Alsatian Dogs usually found in homes such as your current all expenses paid ones. These class of dogs enjoy all goodies of life. Sometimes even better than that of an average taxpayer, from whose sweats you are catered for, does.

There exists the second group of dogs who are fed from their own sweats. Of course, like the ones you used to have as an Assembly Member at Bamboi, these dogs would have to follow their poverty-threatened owners to their farms every morning, give other animals hot-chase, and then hunt them (if they are lucky enough) for their owners’ survival so they, also, could be fed from the debris of their own hard work.

There are a third group classified under ‘Stray Dogs’ bracket. These dogs’ homeless situations are direct cause of their care-free owners whose incompetent handling of their home affairs, prompts even dogs to step out into the streets to fend for themselves, and may never want to return. These dogs are, indeed, without food, and/or even the hope for where their next food may come from, to feed themselves. This is a pathetic state. Isn’t it? They sleep at where the night would fall on them, and wake up continuing to nowhere.

Now my curiosity has been occasioned by your incompetent tenure as the President of Ghana during which period your complete loss of managerial control sent many potential secondary education bound ghanaian youth into the ‘stray mood’ (i.e. in exact likeness of the third group of dogs described above).

That was the hopeless state where many of these students kept wondering when the next food, no matter its taste and state, is coming from.

Not only that, they could not also determine which life to lead, as your incompetent management of the economy had resulted in joblessness, hopelessness, and depression even for those who had graduated from tertiary institutions.

Today, they have been moved a step further up the growth lather to a state where they are assured of the next food, but not that of the quality. As had been said already ‘A hungry man talks about the quantity of salt in a soup only after his belly is filled up to the brim.’

I am thus happy this utterances appreciate that these children you left rotting in the streets of Ghana are being fed by the current Government. And you complain about the quality.

At least, you must have learnt that something could have been done to improve on your hopeless state then.

Let me assure you that every government-created problem is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to make money. Please put up a statesman-like behaviour to help address the challenge. Because your dogs today are in the elite class.

Not only the students, many, including some of your house-helps who feed your dogs on daily basis, cannot afford what your dogs eat.

But the hope is that, these are in the Group Two where their daily struggles can move them to your current financial/economic status. Maybe they would be able to feed their dogs better if they fight harder with this opportunity provided them.

This is an improvement over your leadership. Or…?
