The King of Asante Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has heaped praises on the Almighty God for how far He has brought him and Asanteman.
He commended the clergy for their continuous prayers and urged them not to relent in their efforts.
He also thanked his wife, Lady Julia, his family, nananom, stakeholders and all his servants for their support and dedication to service.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary non-denominational thanksgiving service held at Manhyia Palace on Friday,26th April 2024, Otumfuo was full of praise for nananom, residents of the Ashanti Region, wishers across the globe and stakeholders for their prayers and support during his 25-year reign.
According to him, the non-denominational church service was purposely to express his profound gratitude to the Almighty God, who is the giver of life to mankind.
The service was led by over 1000 ministers of the Gospel from various churches. The well-attended thanksgiving service comprised selected church leaders, government officials, nananom, among others.
Famous gospel artistes, such as Diana Hamilton and Daughters of Glorious Jesus, graced the occasion with song ministrations.

The first Bible reading (Psalm 103:1-9) was read by Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Mamponghene, and the second Bible reading, taken from Luke:17:11-19, was read by Pastor E. K. Duodu, National Overseer, Deeper Life Bible Church.
In a sermon, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Kwabena Boafo, Presiding Bishop, Methodist Church Ghana, acknowledged the importance of thanksgiving to the Almighty God.
He commended Otumfuo for his recognition of God in all his doings and urged all and sundry to emulate his good example.
The Bishop lauded Asantehene for his transformational leadership which has brought the chieftaincy institution to a higher standard.
He commended Otumfuo for his interventions in peace-making, introduction of Otumfuo educational fund, his contribution to healthcare delivery and other support.
Prayers were specifically offered for Manhyia Palace and Asanteman by Pastor Dr. Kwane Annor-Boahene, President Northern Ghana Union Conference of SDA, including special prayers for Otumfuo and the Asante Monarchy by RT Rev. Dr. Nuh-Ben Abubekr, past Kumasi Diocesan Methodist Bishop & Chairman, Ghana Peace Council.
