The Ashanti South Regional Police Command, has apprehended a 25-year-old man found in possession of a cache of ammunition and other suspicious items near the Asankare Police barrier.
The arrest, facilitated by the vigilance of members of the public, occurred when the suspect’s backpack accidentally fell from an Accra-bound passenger bus traveling from Kumasi.
The incident drew the attention of police officers stationed nearby, leading to the suspect’s immediate arrest. Deputy Ashanti South Regional Police Commander,
ACP Cephas Arthur, briefed the media on the situation, assuring the public of ongoing investigations to uncover the suspect’s intentions and any possible criminal connections.
