The President for the Traditional Council, who doubles as the Paramount Chief for Prang in the Pru West District of the Bono East Region, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, has eulogised the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for his selfless and dedicated leadership that is transforming and improving the lives of every Ghanaian.

.According to him, the President has proven all reasonable doubts that his second coming is indeed a “lesson learnt” which every politician should also learn a lesson from.

The Chief observed that “in fact, all that people were saying about President Mahama prior to the 2024 general election was a political gimmick and that he has displayed a sense of maturity in handling every sector of the country.” He said.

The former Council of State member in the late former President Jerry John Rawlings’ regime said one thing he personally appreciates about the Mahama-led government is the continuation and completion of the Prang-Abease-Kintampo road, which was started by the previous NPP government.

He said as soon as the power shifted after the 2024 general election, people were agitated, especially those within Pru West, as to whether the new government (NDC) would continue key projects initiated by the NPP government, like the Agenda 111 hospital, of which Prang is a beneficiary.Nana Kwadwo Nyarko explained that he is very happy to hear that Prang Agenda 111 Hospital has been selected, among others, by the President for immediate attention for completion.

He said, though, the President can choose to give attention to the project anytime he wants, but he (Nana Nyarko) believes that President Mahama took certain factors into consideration before arriving at a conclusion.According to Prangmanhene, Prang is strategically located, and there is no major hospital around that area to handle emergency cases except by travelling to Mampong or Kumasi, and for that matter, the plans by the President to complete Prang Agenda 111 hospital are a step in the right direction. ”

We don’t have a major hospital around this area, and all emergency cases from Yeji, Abease, Prang, Kwame Danso, and Atebubu are being referred to either Mampong or Kumasi, and the distance alone is over a hundred kilometres. We are grateful to the President for his vision, especially on health for the people of Pru West and, for that matter, the whole nation.” He added.

Nana Kwadwo Nyarko, therefore, calls on all Ghanaians to develop a positive mindset in this year and contribute their quota for nation development, irrespective of their political differences.
