The Omanhene of the Prang Traditional Area in the Bono East Region of Ghana, Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, has made a passionate appeal to the Mahama administration to mobilise funds to complete the Agenda 111 hospital project at Prang started by the previous administration.
According to him, despite the recent concerns raised by President Mahama over the Agenda 111 hospital projects, he
would be more grateful to his government if the uncompleted Agenda 111 hospital at Prang is completed and it becomes operational.

The former Council of State member during the erstwhile Rawlings administration said the hospital was dear to his heart because the residents around that area had to go through frustrations before accessing quality healthcare due to long distance.
In an interview with this paper, Pranghene said he personally appealed to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to upgrade the Prang health facility so that residents of Prang, Abease, Komfuorkrom, Kukunde, Labun, Abua, Parambo, Nyomoase, Bankama, among others, could also access quality healthcare without necessarily going to Atebubu, Ejura, Mampong or Kumasi.
Nana Nyarko explained that Prang is strategically located, hence Nana Akufo-Addo included the area as one of the beneficiaries of the Agenda 111 hospital projects.
According to him, the current government should endeavour to mobilise funds, so that the contractors could come on site to complete the project as soon as possible to help serve the people in that area well.
Pranghene said the issue of health should not be toyed with because illness could adversely affect everyone irrespective of political, regional or ethnic differences.
Nana Nyarko said he doesn’t understand why successive governments always want to abandon projects initiated by their predecessors.
“For many years now, whenever there is a change of government, the predecessor finds it very difficult to complete the projects initiated by the previous one,” he pointed out.
“The most important thing is for the leaders to look out for the purpose of the projects and if there is the need to complete them, the government should do that as quickly as possible for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he added.
