Prez Mahama Commended for giving Muslims additional holiday to celebrate Eid- ul-Fitr

A die-hard supporter of the ruling National Democratic Congress ( NDC),who is also a member of the ” Stop the 8″ pro NDC group, Abdul Fatawu Yahaya, has congratulated the President, John Dramani Mahama for granting Muslims an additional holiday to mark Eid – ul – ftr.

He said, granting of an additional holiday was in fulfillment of the promised made by Mr John Dramani Mahama to the Muslims community in the run-up to 2024 general election that,when he wins the election, Muslims would be granted an additional holiday.

In an interview with “The New Trust” newspaper,Hon. Abdul Fatawu Yahaya, who is also the former Assembly Member for Abirem electoral area in Ashanti, said President Mahama is a listening President and everyone must put his or her party color aside and work closely with him for the betterment of Ghana.

According to him,the additional holiday would enable Muslims to celebrate the occasion with their families and loved ones, promoting a sense of community and social cohesion.

The leading NDC member, said President Mahama values the significance of Eid -ul – ftr and declaring additional holiday to enable Muslims to celebrate this joyous event.
He commented him (Mahama) for his leadership and vision to promoting national unity and social cohesion.
He, therefore ,urged all Muslims to make the most of the opportunity and continue to promote peace, tolerance and understanding.
He said, it is only through this that Ghana can grow and witness more development.
