PROF. OTCHERE Addai Mensah has outlined his vision as the new Chief Exectuive Officer of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

Sharing his vision at the maiden meeting with media practitioners in Kumasi last Friday, Prof. Addai Mensah stated that his vision is to uplift the image of the health facility, which serves 12 out of the 16 regions and the only regional hospital, and take it to another level.

As part of measures towards a paradigm shift, Prof. Addai Mensah has ordered the physical presence of, at least, two heads of directorates at the facility on weekends and during holidays to address the perceived laxity on the part of management.

He called for support of the media to make the desired difference through behavioural and attitudinal change on the part of staff and members of the public.

Prof. Addai Mensah assured that he would not rest on his oars until the objective of making the hospital a centre of excellence is achieved and sustained.

Prof. Addai Mensah has since December 1, 2022 taken over the administration of KATH from Dr. Oheneba Owusu-Danso who served in that capacity for five years from July 2017 to November 2022.
