Today is 25th December, 2022 but astonishingly the crops in our garden look green and fruitful as I watched across the street. I guess you’ve observed same elsewhere in the country. The season looks like a rainy one, atypical of this time some decades ago – harmattan season.

And this has been so continuously over six years – Prez Akufo-Addo Government has enjoyed this blessing of God. When the Lord God blessed Egypt led by Prime Minister Joseph, He said “it shall rain and food will be in abundance for seven years continuously, and then….(paraphrased)”. (ADD THE REST OF THE QUOTATION). God has been gracious to Ghana, with plenty rain which if we are hardworking can convert to plenty food harvest.

Let’s not take for granted, rather let’s marshal all energies and hands to produce food in abundance. This is where we have competitive advantage.

Every muscle you see on our streets, every brain anywhere is agricultural production input that would enrich our nation. No one knows when the rains will stop, but like 1983 drought, it’s likely to pause someday. Merry Christmas 🌲🇬🇭
