Pru East NPP PC Outlines transformation Agenda to improve lives of constituents

The New Patriotic Party(NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Pru East Constituency in the Bono East Region, Hon. Yusif Appeh Apetorgbor,has outlined his vision to transform the lives and development of the people if elected as the next Member of Parliament(MP).
He said every sector in the constituency would get its fair share of development but Agric and fishing would be more attended to since majority of the constituents are highly in these two sectors.
Hon. Appeh Apetorgbor,who disclosed this to the Trust Newspaper, in an interview said the NDC, has been winning the seat since 1992 and the level of development is moving in slow pace.
On Agriculture sector, he announced that he will ensure the provision of tractor services to farmers at very subsidized rate in order to produce more for both local and exotic consumptions.
He,added that Farm inputs such as wedicides, fertilizers and pesticides would also be provided to the farmers. According to him, he would also liaise with some micro and macro financial institutions to secure loan facilities for the farmers.
He hinted that most of the farmers in the constituency are willing to produce more but they don’t have the financial capabilities to do so.

He observed that, accessing lands for farming purposes for the youth ,especially in the area has become a bit difficult, therefore,he would work in hand with the various Paramount chiefs in the district to ensure easy land acquisitions.
On fisheries, Hon. Appeh Apetorgbor,said he would fast track the provision of fishing equipment to fishers with the use of MP’s Common Fund .
He,said outboard motors, fishing nets would also be given to the fishers at a subsidized prices.
According to him, he would further liaise with the Fisheries Ministry to ensure regular supply of premix fuel.
On security, Hon. Appeh Apetorgbor, recounted number of crimes that had been going on in the area,and assured the people that he would do what he can to end or minimize the canker.
This measures, include the provision of motorbikes to the police to ensure daily patrols, provision of street light bulbs as well as provision of fuel to the police to supplement government’s monthly supply of fuel.
On Education, he said it is very unfortunate and sad that Pru East don’t have community library and Science laboratory,to this end,he would work very hard to establish one if he gets the nod.
He said classroom blocks would also be construed at Chiripo, Anyimaye and Tonka so that pupils around these places could access education easily.
Teachers bungalows,he said would also be provided to serve as an incentives to teachers in order to give out their best.
He said he would also establish scholarship schemes for both teachers, welfare packages and in – service programs while students scholarship scheme would also not be left out.
He said, all stakeholders would be involved to ensure the speedy development in the area.
