Tension in NDC…as Aseidu Nketia led executives sack Haruna Iddrisu, others from Minority Caucus leadership
The National Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by Johnson Aseidu Nketia has proposed changes in the leadership of the Minority Caucus led by Hon Haruna Iddrisu.
The decision according to source,has sparked tension among the rank file of the Party since the National Executives of the Party didn’t consult the Minority Caucus over their decision.
Dr.Ato Forson has been proposed to replace Hon Haruna Iddrisu.
Joyfm reports that some NDC legislators who are unhappy with the situation are already describing the development as a “coup d’etat”.
Ellembelle MP, Kofi Armah Boah will replace James Klutse Avedzi as Deputy Minority Leader.
In a statement signed by NDC General Secretary Fifi Kwetey, Kwame Agbodza becomes the Chief Whip for the opposition side and will be deputised by Banda MP, Ahmed Ibrahim and Ada legislator, Comfort Doyo Ghansah respectively.
“The new leadership would be charged to recommend consequential changes in the Ranking membership to Headquarters of the party for approval,” the party statement added.
