The heavy presence of the Birmingham Chapter leadership and their members at the just-ended Branch meeting held on January 18, 2026, at Dominion Centre, London, did not go unnoticed by the Branch Chairman. In his remarks, he attributed these successes to the hard work of the chapter leadership and the constant support from the Branch executives to all the chapters they serve, seeing this as a win for the great Elephant family he represents.
He said this while dismissing claims of disunity in his team as a cause of the removal of some names from the UK Branch’s voting list for the upcoming election of the party’s flag bearer.
The Birmingham Chapter, which used to be a dominant force in the UK in the early 2000s, went on it knees due to several internal and external factors.

However, the Branch has rejuvenated around the charismatic leadership of Mr Prince Kwadwo Osei, who, learning from the mistakes of the past, has given the chapter a new look and a feel of what the future holds, should we all look beyond our differences and unit as true patriots with one sense of purpose.
At the said meeting, the representation of the council of Elders, Mr Nyantakyi Kankam (Vice Chairperson, Council of Elders, NPP-UK) called on the youth to cut down the youthful exuberance, and to show respect to one another and to the branch leadership, especially on our various social media platforms as we go to the polls on January 31. In his address, He emphasised that holding each other’s throat would make regrouping difficult post elections, and that no true patriot would dream of not voting because his/her candidate did not win, a statement that earned him a standing ovation.
Other executives who addressed the gathering included Mrs Jemimah Binney (Obaa Yaa), Deputy Communications Director, who showed clear frustration about lack of funding and support towards driving the Communication machinery of NPP in the UK. In recognition and introduction of the newest media house, Bethel Multimedia, she cited that several media houses who offered their platforms for the party’s communications and activities did not receive appreciable support, leading to their collapse. She, however, acknowledged certain individuals who have been donating to support the party’s communications. The branch’s treasury reminded members that non payment of dues means the said member is not in good standing per the party’s constitution, which means he may not be eligible to vote or be entitled to any privileges bestowed to members.

In one voice, all the Branch and Chapter leadership called on members and supporters of the various candidates to exercise restraints to make the work easier for the party in its campaign for power in 2028 general elections, emphasising that only a united NPP stands a chance against the NDC who, with a lying tongue and deceitful hearts, have scammed Ghanaians to power, with no clear direction and commitment to fixing the fundamentals of the economy and the problems of the Ghanaian people.
