Veep Launches GRA’s E-Tax Clearance Certificate

Vice President has launched the GRA’s electronic Tax Clearance Certificate (E-TCC) saying it would enhance revenue collection by the GRA.

Launching the product in Accra on Thursday (30th March, 2022), the Vice President added that E-TCC would also make payment of tax very easier whilst also enabling the GRA to cash-in in property taxing.

Dr. Bawumia later emphasized that the digital journey that GRA has undergone over the years mirrors the government’s digitalization agenda.

He explained that digitalization agenda of the government was occasioned by the fact that only 4 percent of the population had tax identification number (TIN) at the the time.

He added that this informed the government to make the Ghana Card number as TIN.

He urged the general public to embrace the E-TCC to help enhance the tax administration as well as revenue mobilization.

The Commissioner General of GRA Rev. Dr. Ammishadai Owusu Amoah said the E-TCC which is being launched alongside Tax Compliance code and online filing would make the processing of tax and payment of tax very easier for Ghanaians.

He therefore entreated all and sundry to take advantage of the these products in order to avoid “harassment” and prosecution by the GRA.Source:www.senaradioonline.com
