A well-known Kronum-based homosexual has finally relocated to Canada after years of abuse and torture by some anti-gay people.
Kwame Appiah, who has identified himself as a homosexual over the years, landed in Canada sometime in April this year on a visitor’s visa according to sources.
Appiah, who has been nicknamed Elton John by his lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex & others (LGBTQ+) colleagues at Kronum, a suburb of Kumasi, had his shop vandalised sometime ago after he was spotted at a funeral ground of a lesbian at Suame.

Appiah is in his late 40s, and he is alleged to have travelled to Canada after his sister, who is based in that country, invited him due to the incessant physical attacks on him by some anti-LGBTQ+ people.
According to checks by this reporter, Elton John is either seeking or about to seek asylum in Canada so save his life.
Appiah is facing the same ordeal as one Sampson Yeboah, a well-known homosexual in Kumasi who is now residing in Canada, after he was also beaten by some thugs in the same community (Kronum) because he was alleged to be a homosexual.

A sister of Appiah, who now lives in his house at Kronum, recently received threats from some unknown people who alleged that she supported her brother for being gay.
According to her, sometime in December 2023, Appiah was attacked and beaten by a group of young men at a birthday party allegedly organised by some LGBTQ+ group at Kronum.
She said a formal complaint was made at a police station but no arrest was made.
The Human Sexual Rights & Family Values Bill was passed by Parliament in February 2024, and it is awaiting the approval of President Akufo-Addo to become law.
The bill imposes a prison sentence of three to five years for the “willful promotion, sponsoring, or support of LGBTQ+ activities.”
